Welcome to my portfolio! You likely stumbled upon this site through LinkedIn, my social pages, or because I personally pointed you here.

Since you're already aware of my name, let's skip the introductions and dive right in. I am a Public Relations major with a minor in Digital Marketing at Appalachian State University, where I’ve focused on honing my skill set through hands-on opportunities. I am a detail-oriented professional and a strategic, creative storyteller. During my time at App State, I’ve stayed deeply involved in the campus community through organizations like the Asian Student Association (ASA) and PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America). I also serve within Second Story Media, our student-led communications agency, where we create high-impact, pro-bono work for nonprofit organizations across the High Country.

I emigrated from the Philippines to the U.S. at five years old. My family moved around quite a bit, starting in New York and living in California before eventually settling in North Carolina. Although I moved to the U.S. at a young age, my parents always prioritized embracing our culture. We eat Filipino food at home and communicate exclusively in our mother tongue, Tagalog. I grew up a proud Filipino, and we make it a point to visit our family back home every couple of years.

One of my favorite places in the world is an airport at 5:30 a.m.

My parents taught me that culture is everything. Growing up, we made it a priority to travel, immersing ourselves in new traditions and learning how people across the world live their lives. I’ve become a total travel bug, exploring countries like Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Spain.

These experiences have defined my approach to communication. Navigating different cultures has taught me the importance of empathy, adaptability, and nuance. In my work, I apply these global lessons by looking beyond the surface of a project to understand the 'why' behind an audience. Whether I’m designing a brand kit or drafting a campaign, I lean on my multicultural background to ensure my storytelling is inclusive, authentic, and resonates across diverse perspectives.
